Rain Rain Go Away...

Hey NeverEver's

Okay I really didn't mean that title...I actually LOVE the rain to tell the truth. But it looks so cute up there doesn't it? I just had to have it.

Seriously, I am not sure how I was able to get some rain drops mid drop. The only thing I can think of is that its because there was so much coming down. So as you can tell its raining here in So. Cal. Pretty hard in the LA area, which we are not used to at all!

But we really needed the rain since California has been going through a drought.

But then the rain stopped and it went to the perfect 'Curl up with a book while having coffee' type of weather. Which is EXACTLY what I shall be doing as soon as I finish with the computer.

I have fallen in LOVE with this book 'The Black Count' which is the 'true' story of the 'Count of Monte Cristo' which was always one of my favorite classics as a kid!

Yes I was a bookworm!

Of course while I am staring at the lovely rainbow its so bright in the sky and just so there! But as soon as I turn my back to get the camera...well it starts disappearing.

Maybe we can play a game called 'spot the rainbow' ^_^. I swear it seems to disappear the more I stare at the photo...or maybe that is just me.

Okay, so I want to thank you all again while letting me rant yesterday. Today was such a better day! Although, I think that is because its raining and that always brings my mood up!

Dinner was great, and of course I didn't take pictures, SORRY! It was a homemade tomato soup with carrots, squash, olives and if you wanted it chicken. It hit the spot on this cold day. The food was gone before I remembered that I needed to take a photo.

Daily Stats Day 77:

I have been trying to get up earlier and get to the gym before heading to work. So far 4 days have gone by and I have yet to make it. I am gonna keep trying but its so comfy in my bed!

So NeverEver's, how do you wake up in the morning to get to the gym?
Is it raining by you?

Okay NeverEver's, its good night for me! Stay safe if your driving in the rain or snow tomorrow!

Burnt Chicken and Bad Moods

Hey NeverEver's,

I am still trying to get used to going to work and driving through all that 405 traffic. Really it isn't bad until the last 3 miles before my exit is when it gets really bad!

The job is pretty great. I have already caught up on the past due paperwork and will be starting to learn the rest of my duties either tomorrow or Friday. So I am very satisfied with how things have been going. I do so love knowing I am doing a good job ^_^.

However, that good job basically stopped as soon as I got home. I planned to make dinner tonight so I was already in a rush by the time I cam home, and it went downhill from there.

I had planned to make lemon chicken wings with cheese ravioli. The ONLY thing that came out right was the ravioli. The chicken was burnt on the outside, and not cooked on in the inside.

Which of course as I am new to cooking, and I don't always take these type of set backs well, it went a little 'bitchy'. Now, I wasn't upset at anyone else other then me, since I had the fire to high and forgot to keep turning the chicken it turned out like that.

Hindsight is 20/20 isn't it?

So, uncooked and burned chicken took a lot out of me. I am now sitting here finishing writing this post, I wasn't gonna do it but its important to me to show the good and the bad, watching the new Green Arrow on the CW and just finished reading Nov Cosmo (my guilty pleasure).

Thank you for listening to me rant and rave!

Again NeverEver's thank you for letting me get it all out!

Promise to myself and you that tomorrow will be better!

Cooking for the Whole Family Type of Monday

Hey NeverEver's!

First off I have GREAT news! I got the job at the Property Management Company! I start tomorrow at 8:30am and I am SO ready for this thing to start!

I have my outfit all ready in my head, straightened my hair and of course did my nails! I always feel better and more professional!

So thank you Essie and Wrapped in Rubies! I think its a perfect fall color with just enough 'red' to make it fierce!

Since it was my last 'non working day' I thought that I might cook for the WHOLE family. I seriously wanted something easy and that wasn't to expensive, hey those paychecks aren't coming just yet, and I found the perfect thing!

Three Cheese Tortellini and Mushroom Soup from SkinnyTaste and since I was making things for the family I decided on dessert from PeanutButter and Peppers which was the Apple Frozen Yogurt! You guys both have AMAZING recipes and it always taste delicious when I try them!

Me being all House Wifey and saute-ing the veggies for the soup! To tell the truth about a year ago I would have never stepped inside the kitchen, and here I am now actually cooking whole meals, planning ahead and people LIKING my cooking!

There are those veggies I was talking about! Carrots, Celery, Onions and a little bit of garlic! Now I am not an onion fan but really by the time the soup was done...I didn't even taste them! I did forget to picture the mushrooms... oops!

Here is the final product! Three Cheese Tortellini and Mushroom! The whole family gave me their thumbs up. Including my Father in Law that rarely ever eats anything that doesn't have meat in it even liked it!

I shall call this a resounding success!

Then of course there was dessert! I couldn't leave that out. Now to tell you the truth if I was freaking out about dinner...I was a nervous wreck for dessert, but it turned out really well! That is what I get for following directions ^_^

Seriously, I am not sure how Jen, PB and Peppers, made this taste so fall-ish! It was perfect greek yogurt tartness with the sweet cinnamon and apple that just takes you to leaves falling!

Talking about the 'Fall' I finally got my table center piece just as I wanted it! You think with the Hubby being a Visual Manager that it would have been easier...

Also, I think this might have been the best photo I have EVER taken to date! But now the house is officially ready for Fall!

On to the Daily Stats!

Daily Stats Day 74:

For a day at a Korean BBQ I am happy that I only went over 606. That is better then that last time I went there.

So NeverEver's have you ever made a dessert? How did it turn out? What makes you feel ready for that 'First day of work/school'?

Okay NeverEver's, wish me luck for tomorrow! I shall post to show exactly how it went!

Korean BBQ and Sunday Night Football!

Hey NeverEver's,

Today was a pretty good day. Slept in after all that walking from the Auto Show! Once awake it was defiantly time for Sunday Morning Breakfast! So I brought out my waffle maker.

Did I mention that my waffle maker makes circus animal shapes?

This one was for the hubby! He doesn't do syrup on any breakfast foods anymore. He has found a Mexican caramel sauce called 'Cajeta'. I personally don't get the taste cause it doesn't have the 'caramel' taste that I am expecting but he LOVES it.

Me of course I am satisfied with my normal syrup thank you very much! This was the first time however that I used the Wheat flour for waffles. It was very filling, actually more filling then the normal waffles I made with white flour.

After breakfast it was time to run some errands. Sunday is the perfect day for that, as long as you go earlier. I picked up some chicken wings for dinner this week and I am FINALLY going to try the Three Cheese Tortellini and Mushroom Soup! I have been eyeing that recipe from SkinnyTaste for a while now. But it has been to warm here in Cali for it, now that it has cooled down its perfect!

Getting home Hubby and I decided that before the game tonight, Sunday Night Football Saints vs Chargers, to take his parents out for some Korean BBQ! Now it was the first time they had ever been there, so it was quite an experience!

Table was all set, already had the Beef Brisket on the grill! Sadly they didn't have the sides that I like but the salad made up for it!

Seriously I am not sure what sauce they put into the sauce but it is delicious. Just spicy enough to have a kick but not overly so where you are dying. Side note I die easily when it comes to spices ^_^

The plates here are smaller so you can't just overload the plates. I like that and am slowly but surely replacing all my plates to be smaller.

By the way, have you guys had rice paper? It makes everything so yummy! I don't know why but it does.

So we made it back with about 20 minutes to spare before the game! At this point in the game we are still in the first half with Drew Bree's making a new record with the NFL by tossing a TouchDown for the 48th straight game on a 40 yard TouchDown!

We are tied right now 7 to 7...and I am leaving you all now to finish watching the game!

Have a relaxing rest of your Sunday!
