Saturday Post: Auto Show in O.C

Since I have been recently bad at not posting on time, I thought I would treat you guys to a Saturday post! Well it might already be Sunday on the EST but over here on PST I got another hour!!!

Okay, so Hubby and I went to the Orange County Auto Show. This is the first time I have ever gone to one, so needless to say I was pretty excited to see what it would be like.

Have to say this much for the Auto Show. It was pretty enjoyable to look at all the cars without all the 'Sales'. Also have to say that it was a little easier to see the different cars each brand offered, instead of going through 10 or more of the same car before getting to something new.

So we of course tried out the cars. Some of them were pretty nice and other not so much to our taste. Like this Scion, which is a great brand, but this one was their iQ and didn't have trunk space at all! But, it was fun to sit in it and stretch in the front seat!

Ya my car doesn't have anything like THAT in it. I mean look at that display screen and how nice the whole interior is. I noticed that the dash is now facing the driver more then just in the middle. Hopefully in about a year or so I can get a nice dashboard like this! Fingers Crossed! 

We got a distracted driver over here!!

Have to say those Ford trucks, or just trucks in general, are getting a lot TALLER. This monster is almost taller then me! I can now say that a truck has made me feel tiny...

I personally can't believe I got the Hubby to check out the trunk space on this Dodge but he did and I LOVE it. Of course I would fully recommend this car to anyone that needs the trunk space ^_~ !

So they also had this Jeep Off Course Road that had all kind of bumps, and hills, and 30 degree inclines. We couldn't drive on it, which was a SHAME, but we rode around as passengers. The course was bumpier then I thought! Of course it was TON"S of fun even if the hill freaked me out! 

Anyways, on to Friday and Today's...since today has only 30 more minutes on it...Daily Stats!

Daily Stats 73:

After relaxing from those nerves I decided it was time to take a walk. I am pretty satisfied with my Friday night. Oh and I did have the rest of my SkinnyGirl Margarita, it was the perfect end to a long week. 

Daily Stats 74:

Walking that Auto Show really worked me out! What I am happy with was that I stayed away from the 'easy' food like candies and such while there. Today was a good day!

Its Finally Friday!

Hey NeverEver's!

I am so sorry I have left you all hanging for a while. Kinda starting to feel like I am saying that a lot, not a good sign. Really, it has just been a hectic week with interviews...but it is Finally Friday!

Yesterday, I read an e-mail from an AppleOne recruiter who sends out e-mail blasts about every week or so. Most of the positions don't fit me, i.e I don't speak spanish, but this one did. It was requesting a 'Retention Customer Service Agent' for a call center. My previous job before it went out of business, was a call center and I was a retention agent. Which I LOVED. So, I sent my resume out with a short intro as to why I would be awesome for the job.

Also, Hubby and I found out that we needed to take my car in to the mechanic to get it ready for the smog test. I kinda forgot it was that time of year already, oh boy. So we take it to the mechanics and then head up towards Rancho to get my parents car.

Not sure if I have mentioned this, but my parents are truck drivers, and have recently purchased a new 2012 Kia Fonte. Now I understand their need to have a car when they come into town every 5-6 months but I didn't really understand why they needed a new car.

However, as I am driving said new car while I am waiting for mine to get back, I am not saying anything anymore. The Kia is a pretty sweet little car...although the navigation is now getting on my nerves. It seems to me the voice is smug.

So on Thursday I had 3 interviews. 2 for the same position just one as a pre and the other at the location of the call center. Also having the phone interview. After running around all day the the nerves of the interviews I really didn't eat and just collapsed after coming home.

Daily Stats Day 71:

I did take that walk after the heat died down...and after the Presidential Debate. All I am going to say...Mr. President you looked down WAY to much and Mr. Romney you smirked a little to much.

Daily Stats Day 72:

I know I didn't eat as much as I should have. I blame nerves with those 2 interviews and being on a time crush.

So today was a LOT quieter. Only had 1 interview at 4pm which lasted about an hour and half. This one was for being an Admin Assistant for a Property Management Company. If I am reading the signals right, as they had me already working on some data entry, I shall have a job next week!

Thank you all for being patient with all these interview or short posts. I am happy to say that at least in the LA area there are jobs out there in the office world. If you are looking I would recommend the Temporary agency's such as AppleOne, OfficeTeam or Ajilon.

If things are working out like I think they are I shall be back on schedule on Monday with some workouts to talk about. To tell the truth I am actually missing the gym really bad right now!

Okay NeverEver's I am about to go eat dinner. I have sufficiently relaxed enough from the interview nerves that I can eat again. So have a wonderful weekend!!

Its to Hot...Short Post!

Not much really to post today. It is seriously to hot here in So Cal to even think. 100 degrees is to hot for October.

Had that interview I was telling you about yesterday. However, I didn't know it was for a 'Sales' position and to tell the truth I am not all that great at sales. I like being behind the scenes while working. I do like meeting new people just not in what I consider a 'high intensity' area that sales is. So I would be surprised if I get a call back.

Anyways this is gonna be a really short post just because I noticed that I did yesterdays stats...actually yesterday. Opps, sorry about that!

So no Daily Stats until tomorrow.

I am waiting for the sun to go down to go take a walk, hopefully it will cool off enough!

Interview Mania and Early Birthday Dinners

Sorry I missed out on posting yesterday. It was just interview mania, which is great but also very tiring. A total of 3 different interviews, 2 of which I think I rocked their socks off. At least I hope so ^_^.

Had another one today, but happily it took me around the area of an old friend. Which old friend's birthday was a week ago and mine in less then 2 weeks. So we decided to get together and eat!

Sadly, I didn't bring my camera...I know bad blogger bad!

So we went to take advantage of the endless pasta bowl over at Olive Garden. I have seen the commercials for it but never tried it. Let me tell you I wasn't able to get past the first bowl, I wasn't even able to FINISH the first bowl.

Well with no pictures I can't really show you how yummy it was. But it was good!

For a lazy Sunday I am pretty happy with this one!

I really wish I got up in the morning to work out before heading to all those interviews!

This is what happens when you are sitting down driving in the car then eating a wonderful Early Birthday Dinners. But hey those calories don't count right ^_~

Sorry this is such a short post but I am tired after driving all day these last 2 days. Seriously, I can't believe I have another interview tomorrow and a phone one on Thursday.

Which is all AMAZING but I am not sure if I want to start working again or heading to school for court reporting.
