13th 5k & No Voice

Hey NeverEver's!

Its Sunday and I know I should be doing food prep but I have a thing about touching 'family food' while sick. I don't want to get anyone else sick. Soo no food prep today...left overs next week!

Oh ya I am still sick but instead of coughing or a head cold I have lost my voice. No other issues except for a small cough. No sore throat, No bad breathing, No ear pains or anything. Just the lost of my voice. Its a good thing that my blog relies on my typing skills instead of my voice ^_~

But I go to the doctors. And they just tell me that I need to just not use my voice and if it isn't back with in 3 days then come back. Well I have a job that depends on my voice! I am still debating if I should text my boss to let her know that although I feel fine I am not gonna be able to talk with the customers. However, due to my awesome friends I am trying some more natural remedies for now.

I know it looks weird but this is 1 squeezed lemon, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. I can talk a little better after spooning this down my throat. Do you have any other home remedies? I am willing to try them all right now!

Ok so enough about my voice...lets talk about this weekend! It started on Friday night ^_~

Halloween party with some of my old co-workers and still awesome friends! It was an awesome night with laughs and drinks to be had! Although I did have to leave a little after midnight because of...

I had a Bubble Run to get to! Yup that is right I ran the next morning w/ one of my friends and current co-workers. Man can this lady run!! But the Bubble Run was so much fun. I mean look at those suds at the beginning of the run!

Ok if I had thought that the beginning was fun it was nothing compared to the rest of the 3 miles! First was pink, then blue, then green and finally yellow. Over at the green area the bubbles were so big that they were over my head! Yes I am that short ^_~

However, the run can only last so long (we all hope) and the fun had to end. I was a little disappointed that I didn't change to the Bubble Run's official shirt (I didn't know that there was color bubbles). But we finished the run strong!

My friend was able to get it done in 25:37 (she is a demon on the track!) and mine was a respectable 39:55. I am ok with that time. Actually pretty darn happy with that number to tell the truth.

However, with this run done. I have officially finished the #13in2013 races that I promised to do at the beginning of the year! It really hasn't hit me that I have been able to do this when last year I never ran. I walked and slowly at that. Now, although I am not fast I am proud to say that I am a runner. Who would have thought that I would say that? Not me from a year ago that is for sure.

So let me say it again. Just to let it sink in for me.

I AM A RUNNER.

Wow. That is something big. Especially since I got another run next Saturday.

Okay NeverEver's, I have to help the hubby get dinner ready ( i.e. I am telling him what to do by the doorway and in no way touching the food) so it is done in time for his Packer Game. Oh and my Saints won!!! Woot Woot!

Have a wonderful Sunday and I promise to have food prep for next weekend!

Sunday Food Prep

Hey NeverEver's!

Welcome to Sunday. The day before we all start working again, well at least most people. This past Friday and Saturday it was all about my Birthday. At least with my family and friends. On Friday we went to Sgt. Peppers in Long Beach. Its a Dueling Piano Bar. Good sing along music and better company made for a great night! I also may or may not have drank to much. Not enough where I was hung over the rest of the Saturday but enough where I just knew it was a little too much. Its a really good thing that birthdays only come once a year.

However, on Saturday it was a UFC Fight Night. Now that was a great card ( a card is the fighters for the night ). There wasn't a bad fight or more importantly, a boring fight!

Oh I also did my hair ^_~

Yup I am a brunette now! I am happy that I had decided to make the change from blonde to brown. It is perfect for the fall / winter. I didn't really cut my hair though, only curled it so it looks shorter then it is.

Okay now to get onto the fun stuff!!!

Yup Virtual Runs! Courtney (the awesome creator of the Princess Challenge II and my Mulan medal) re-opened up the Princess Challenge I. And the Hubby being as awesome as he is told me that I could get all 5! Which means I have 5 more 5k's to do this year!

So if you want some more pretty medals you can join me ( http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=2117205 ) and others for these runs! I am really looking forward to Jasmine and Rapunzel!

Okay Okay now on the the Sunday Food Prep!

So from left to right

  • Fresh and Easy Score
  • Fresh Herb Rubbed Chicken that I am cooking in a crock pot
  • Pepper / Steak Sauce rubbed Steak wrapped in Turkey Bacon
  • Cucumbers / Strawberries pre-cut for my juicing
  • Tomato Soup
  • Breadless Sandwiches
  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • Lemon & Pepper Chicken (not pictured) that will be cooked by the hubby
Yup I am ready for this week! I have my protein and major dinners ready for my double workouts and if they aren't already ready its an easy make!

Okay NeverEver's! I am going to be spending the rest of the day with the Hubby watching him play GTA while I avoid laundry. I sincerely hate laundry!!!

So how is your food prep going today?

Running / Exercise Schedule

Hey NeverEver's!

Its Hump Day! I am of course extremely happy that we are now 2 days away from the weekend and I only have 1 more working day. Yup I am taking Friday off. Got a few doc / dental appointments that I shall be going to...and then I am free!!!

But I have been thinking that I need to share this months Exercise / Run Schedule. Also I really need to stay away from groupon / livingsocial. But this is how my month is going to look like

Monday - Boot Camp @ http://fitnessandfunbootcamp.com/
Tuesday - Barre Class @ http://www.barmethod.com
Wednesday - Bikram Yoga (I know!!!) @ http://bikramyogahermosabeach.com
Thursday - Boot Camp @ http://fitnessandfunbootcamp.com/
Friday - Day of Rest
Saturday - Bikram Yoga @ http://bikramyogahermosabeach.com
Sunday - Day of Rest

Yes I think I am insane at time but so far I am loving it. Doing something different everyday. Making sure that all my body is worked in different ways. It has been enjoyable. Plus...I paid $$$ for these things. I need to do them before they expire.

However, I also mentioned a Running Schedule.

Well here are my upcoming runs

10/5/2013 - Jedi Virtual 5k - Do or Do Not...There is NO Try
10/12/2013 - If the Shoe Fits Virtual 5k - Time to try on Belle's shoe
10/26/2013 - Pomona Bubble Run w/ a Friend & Hubby
11/2/2013 - San Diego Awesome 80's Run
11/16/2013 - Green Lantern Virtual 5k - In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night, No evil shall escape my sight!
(11/28/2013) - Possible Turkey Trot. Looking for a place closer than Dana Point
12/21/2013 - Los Angeles The Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k

And I am sure there is going to be another Star Wars or Beauty and the Beast Virtual Run that I just can't possibly pass up and that will be added to the list. One good thing about 5k's is that they are short. So I can schedule them in.

But what do you think about the multiple classes? Too much? Just Right? What runs are you planning?

September in Review

Hey NeverEver's,

Welcome to the end of September. The last month of the single digits. The knowledge that we only have 3 months left to this year. That the holiday season is coming really...REALLY soon. But before we get into ANY of that lets review this month.

This month isn't the best that I have had. In fact it was one of the worst that I have had since I started this blog. But that is the thing about months and starting it over. I can leave this month behind and start better and harder for October.

So on September 10th I finished the Be Our Guest 5K. This was my 10th 5k for this year and it has been amazing! Never thought I would get this many 5k's done this year!

Then on September 24th I did the Princess Challenge 5k the Mulan. My 11th 5k. The Mulan medal is so pretty!

It is a little sad that a whole 30 days and really this is my accomplishments. 2 virtual 5ks while amazing seem to be a little too little.

But like I said I am making sure that October goes the way I want it to go. Starting with today.

I did a Weigh In.

Weight - 203.6
Waist - 49"
Breasts - 41"
Arms - 16"
Thighs - 24"

So at the beginning of this month I was at 200.6 and now I am at 203.6. Personally, I thought I would be higher because of 2 weeks ago I was feeling so blah that I was eating my feelings. But, I got myself down to 203.6 and I am ready to make sure that number is never seen again.

This is my month. This is where I am. And this is where I am going.

I started the South Bay Fitness and Fun Boot Camp that I got from Groupon. Today wasn't easy. It kicked my @ss so many times over that I felt like I was going to throw up. But I didn't and I actually did pretty damn good. Today's workout was

Partners Workout

2 Lab Around the Building Park
P1 - 50 Burpees
P2 - Crunches
1 Lab Around the Building Park
Reverse exercises (i.e P1 does P2 exercises and visa versa)
1 Lab Around the Building Park

P1 - Fast Jumping Jacks - 50
P2 - Plank
1 Lab Around the Building Park
Reverse Exercises
1 Lab Around the Building Park

P1 - Push Up's -50
P2 - Lateral Raises
1 Lab Around the Building Park
Reverse Exercises
1 Lab Around the Building Park

P1 - Donkey Kicks - 50 (each leg)
P2 - Lower Ab Raises
1 Lab Around the Building Park
Reverse Exercises
1 Lab Around the Building Park

There was another exercise on the board but me and my partner wasn't able to get to that one within the hour of the class. The fact that I was able to do 4 out of the 5 is amazing. Especially since...like I said it really did kick my @ss ^_^.

But I came home and I did my Nightly Prep.

I got my gym bag (for my Barre Class tomorrow), my lunch (herb chicken w/ raspberry salad), my shakeology and my clothes for tomorrow.

So I am exhausted. I am headed to bed. I am ready for October and it is gonna be an awesome month. I know it. But what are your plans for this October?

Guest Post - Run. Influence. Change the world with Run 10 Feed 10.

Hey NeverEver's,

Its Tuesday! One day closer to the weekend of course ^_^. But today is also Guest Post day. And with this one...well this one is something we can all do. The Run 10 Feed 10 is an amazing run that help give 10 meals to people that are in need.

It doesn't matter how fast you go or if you have ever run a 10k before (you all know I haven't) but we can all do it! Or we can help with the fundraising.

Read on!

Run. Influence. Change the world with Run 10 Feed 10.

Think about the last time you said, “I’m starving.” Were you (really)? Think about what it feels like to be
hungry. Think about what it feels like to run. Hungry=negative, painful empty tummy. Running=positive,
energized body. Do you do both? I don’t, but I have that choice. I also have the choice to counter the
negative (hunger) with the positive (running) by participating in Run 10 Feed 10.

What’s all the hype about? Millions (like 50 million) people or more are hungry. 17 million of those
people are children. Children! In the US, 1 in 6 American children are wondering when they will get their
next meal. Think about six kids who you know; yup, one of them might be the victim of hunger, which
may impact their growth, strength and ability to learn. NO! These children are our future. These children
may care for us when we’re old. So stand up, lace up those sneakers and help our future Americans
while we still have the power to take action! Help them get fed. Help them not worry about food.

Yes, you! That’s right join the Run 10 Feed 10 initiative with Women’s Health and the FEED Foundation
(www.thefeedfoundation.org) to fight domestic hunger. I know, you’re asking what that even means.
Well, it’s as simple as lacing up your sneakers. By running a 10k at one of the seven events throughout
the United States (or you can even sign up to run your own), you provide meals to ten people in your
community. Hunger is a global problem, but a solvable one.

Run 10 Feed 10 PSA 2013

Want to know more about the FEED Foundation? The FEED foundation is an organization started by
Lauren Bush Lauren, grand-daughter of former President George W. Bush and wife of David Lauren.  The
FEED foundation is dedicated to the mission of providing meals for people throughout the globe. Even
in America, there is a hunger problem. 1 in 5 children do not know where their next meal is coming
from.   As of 2011, the FEED foundation has provided 60 million free meals to children around the globe
through their FEED Projects which includes partnerships with companies like Target, Disney, DKNY, and
more.  Women’s Health is super proud to work with an organization like FEED.  The money you raise
goes directly to a local charity in your hometown filtered through the foundation.

I, Women’s Health and the FEED Foundation need your help. It’s as simple as registering online.

Women's Health and their Action Heroes goal is to raise one million meals for people across the U.S.

A Little Food Prep and a Dash of Kick in the @ss

Hey NeverEver's,

I know I have been gone for a while. With really no word here on where I been or when I was coming back. Sadly, last week was a real mental struggle for me. I felt out of place, out of room and really out of sorts. There are some decisions that will have to be made soon between the Hubby and I concerning work, money and of course our future. But the thing is that we won't be able to make the decisions until about the end of October. And I HATE waiting. I am not a very patient person. I want to know what is going on and when it is going on. A direction is what I am craving and although I understand we can't get that yet (logically) emotionally it is driving me up a wall.

So last week wasn't the best week for me. I didn't necessarily eat badly just that I usually forgot my breakfast (shakeology) and there was really no workouts at all. However, the Unleash Your Inner Wonder Woman Virtual 5k that I did on August 26th. Well this came in the mail

It is so big that I just HAD to sign up for the next race in the series the Green Lantern one. Yes I am going to finish the whole Justice League TuTu's and I can't wait!

I also did the Be Our Guest Virtual 5k on September 10th.

This one as Doctor recommend I walked it. I haven't gotten the medal for this one yet but I just LOVED the bib. So pretty (I might be a little biased as a Belle fan).

So not everything has been a down thing. I still did my walks but as usual what I have to work on is my food. Well that and to exercise more then just walking. But we will get into that.

Before I get into this weeks food prep (which is ready) I want to talk about my workout schedule.

  • Monday - Rowing Class 6:00 to 7:00 pm - Home before 8pm
  • Tuesday - Boot Camp 6:00 to 7:00 pm - Home before 8pm
  • Wednesday - Rowing Class 6:00 to 7:00 pm - Home before 8pm
  • Thursday - Boot Camp 6:00 to 7:00 pm - Home before 8pm
  • Friday - Day Off
  • Saturday - 5k run (I have enough of the virtuals and races to keep me busy)
  • Sunday - Day Off (or an physical activity w/ the Hubby)

Also, just to be perfectly fair and honest with everyone. The Boot camp that I am starting on Tuesday is different then the one that was in the morning (I gave it to a friend of mine). I just couldn't get my @ss up in the morning. I tried everything. So, I have officially allowed myself to be a night workout person. No more fighting it. And it feels amazing!!

Anyways, that is my schedule so it will help to make sense of my food prep. Because I am doing it a little differently.

My main concern this week is; to get my juicing on and to make sure that the meals are easy to make. So here is my food prep.

I have cucumber, kiwi, strawberries (not shown) and apples all cut up and ready to be juiced with some spinach for my lunch drink.

Then for dinner I have

Fresh and Easy pre-done meals. None of them have sauce or anything else fattening. They all still have to be cooked in the oven or the stove top but they are already spiced up. Which makes my job a little easier. Plus they are delicious, healthy and easy. Yes I am cheating but as I am getting home so late it is easier for the Hubby to throw these into the Oven and follow directions then if I just have them ready myself.

As for sides I have some russet potatoes with broccoli, Garlic Green Beans and,

Some Omega 3 rich penne with wheat penne mixed in. Plus the stable quinoa. Seriously, I am not sure how I survived without Quinoa for so long. It is delicious cold, hot and everything in between.

Before I leave for the night. I wanted to let you all know that I joined with Steph from OrangeSpoken Blog, who is now Self-Hosted and page is looking glorious!, to be in the #FallOffTheFat group. It is a group of people just motivating each other before the Holiday Season begins. However, this time it is all about Body Percentage and not actual scale movement.

Which is great because over at work there is the Biggest Loser competition ( $400 is on the line + $60 monthly) that is also doing percentages.

So, I may not be completely out of my slump but I cannot allow it to control me any longer. I have weight to lose, food to cook and money that needs to be won (Momma wants a hair cut) that I cannot allow it to stand in my way.

Okay NeverEver's, it is time for me to get ready for my lunch tomorrow and head back into my A/C'ed room. Its hot in the kitchen and I can NOT wait for Winter...or even a cool Fall.

Monday Weigh In

Hey NeverEver's,

Welcome to Monday. It was the first Monday since I have been better and I had a plan to follow. So how did I do?

Well I didn't go swimming like I said I would. I had a small coughing attack in the morning and just couldn't get up in the morning. So swimming just wasn't happening this morning.

However, I made up for it during my lunch. But before I get into that...lets get into the Weigh In!

8/12/2013

Now to the current weight!!!

8/26/2013

198.0!!!

Yes I lost weight! I didn't gain during my sodium filled days of soup and more soup!

I am quite happy...no I am ecstatic with myself and that number!

Now before I get into Today's Workouts. I want to to do a little bit about my 5K yesterday!

I was waiting for the sun to go down. This run was done by Helping Hands 4 Life. I just loved the idea of running for one of the original woman super heros. Plus it was only $30 and the medal was awesome so I couldn't pass it up.

I wasn't able to run as much as I wanted to do. I did more power walk then anything else but I was able to do all 3 miles in 45:22 minutes. Which I am pretty darn satisfied with that.

Cannot wait to show you guys the medal when it gets here!!!

Ok on to Today's Workout.

I did a lunch workout!!! Yes the first time in the LONGEST time and it felt awesome. I was also sweating buckets so that was tons of fun.

Now as I did the Shakeology Cleanse before, I know for myself that I have to the salad for lunch or I just don't make it through the day. So I switch that up (and it is allowed) and it works for me.

Had my 2nd shakeology drink and the grapes for a snack before leaving for my rowing class!

Yes I really do LOVE this view! It is amazing, the sea breeze, light, and just plain blissfulness! But then it was time to get down o business.

Rowing class was brought to me by Elizabeth from Roworx. She is Awesome with a capital 'A'. Really worked out my whole body, legs, arms, core and butt...nothing was missed! Which is why the rowing machine is one of my favorite machines EVER!

If you are in the Long Beach area (or if you have a rowing class near you) you MUST check this place out! Awesome Fun!

So I just had my last shakeology drink for the night. I also had a cup of Blueberries right after the workout itself.

And lookie what I am starting again. Yup I am wearing my body media again and I am tracking with it. Didn't QUITE make it to my calorie burn goal but I am decently off. Tomorrow is another day.

Okay NeverEver's, it is time for be to get to bed. I am tired and I still need to take a shower. Soo have a wonderful night and I will see you all tomorrow for Guest Post Tuesday! I have an awesome one for you guys!

A New Week - Back to Business!

Hey NeverEver's!

Look who is done with coughing and feeling sick! This girl! Yay me. Ok in reality I still have a little bit of cough but I am not going to let that slow me down any more. It has been a week since my last workout...well almost a whole week and half really.

However, I am so backed up in laundry that it hurt just looking at it. Plus then it was Food Prep. I wanted it to be easy next week so I went to Fresh and Easy (favorite place) and got 4 of their 2 for $10 ready meals. Basically it has the chicken or meat already done with the flavor or herbs and you just cook it!

I also got some veggies sides that will be easy to make. Oh and I found a new bread that I can't wait to try. It is a wheat bread with Chia and Flax seeds made in. I think it is going to be yummy but as I haven't tried it yet I am not sure.

So at least my food is ready. Although for Monday - Wednesday I decided that I am going to be doing the Shakeology Cleanse.

I feel that since I have been sick and haven't been watching what I have been eating. Plus those soups have TONS of sodium, even though I tried to water them down. It is time to just re-clean out my system.

So I got my Food Prep ready, My Cleanse ready to go for Monday - Wednesday, now it is time to go for my Workout Plan.

My Workout Plan is going to be adding something different. Since my foot is still giving me pains I have decided to add in...swimming to my routine. It is a low impact, high burning exercise that I kind of suck at. Yes I am bad at swimming so really I can only get better ^_~. Anyways, here is my routine for this week.

Sunday - Unlease Your Inner Wonder Woman 5K

Monday - Morning Swim, Work, Rowing

Tuesday - Morning Bootcamp, Work, Lunch Run

Wednesday - Morning Swim, Work, Rowing

Thursday - Morning Bootcamp, Work, Lunch Run

Friday - Morning Swim, Work, Rowing

Saturday - Off

I still can't believe that I am going to be swimming. Haven't done it in FOREVER but I even got myself a water cap so I don't have to blow dry my hair to get to work.

Ok NeverEver's, I am leaving you all with that. I am going to be getting ready for my Virtual 5K today and make sure that I don't get sick again. It is good to be back and I don't want to leave again.

Ready, Set Glow 5K - #8 of 13

Hey NeverEver's!

First let me say that I feel horrible. Apparently, my little cough that I was feeling, and got from a co-worker that shall remain nameless, turned into something a little more sinister.

And that is why it was hurting to cough. Although I may or may not have made it worse by running yesterday's 5K but that is neither here nor there. What is important is that I have medicine and a doctors note for work. Yup, I got all my duckies lined up in a row.

So, I am not sure how many posts, or workouts for that matter, you are going to be seeing this week. Apparently, my body feels like it just wants to rest, and sleep, and rest some more. I have no energy at times and other times I feel perfectly normal. Just wanted to give you all a nice heads up but I should be better soon, the doc only gave me 5 days of medicine so that should mean that I will be better in 5 days (right!!!).

Anyways, what I really want to talk about is my run last night! Yup my Ready, Set Glow 5K that was in Temecula, Ca and didn't have the hill of death in it! Here is looking at you Love Mud Run and that evil hill!!

We started the night off right by stopping by the 99 cent store to get some glow sticks and some pins. Last race we were in they ran out of pins so we thought it best to keep a supply handy.

Then it was packet pick-up. Now if you never been to California...its a big state (don't fight me on this Texas). From Los Angeles to Temecula its about a 2ish hour drive. So we didn't do the early packet pickup we just came early on the day of.

Then it was time for pictures. This was Evelyn who decided to join us on the race itself! Thank you Groupon for making racing affordable for those of us that are just starting!!

Hubby was of course wearing one of his birthday gift outfits. I really thought the neon was the perfect touch lol.

I am not sure how or when I started posing like this...but it seems like I now post like this for every picture. But we were really just fooling around while waiting for it to get dark!!

And more fooling around. But this one I just had to show...for obvious reasons!

What was really nice is that Evelyn invited some of her other friends so we had a pretty decent group of runners / walkers! Actually most of them said they would be walking this 5k but the spirit of the run got into them and most of them jogged or even ran it.

Now the Hubby wanted to run it. On a side note he hasn't ran since high school but apparently he got about a 7 minute mile back then and wanted to see if he still had it. He finished the race at 30 minutes even and he wasn't even happy about it! His calf started hurting him after the first mile so he alternated between power walking and running the rest of the race...and yet he still gets a 30 minute PR. Amazing

And here is my time. 42:48 for 3 miles. It was dusty, there was soft sand every where (think beach running oy) I haven't run in over 2 weeks, plus I was sick and I still did a decent time. Oh and I ran my first mile none stop. Which in hindsight I probably should have kept that one to a slower pace so I didn't blow myself out at first.

But all in all I am pretty darn proud of my time. I am pretty darn proud that I finished and I didn't allow my sickness to stop me.

Now it is time for some more tea, cough syrup and bed time...most likely in that order. I will see you all when I can but really soon!

Late Weigh In

Hey NeverEver's!

Welcome to the first Tuesday of August!! Can you believe that it is already August? It just seems that last month was January and I was doing my first 5K.

Talking about 5K's...my Splash Dash was a bust. There was supposed to be multiple waves (as usual) so I signed up for the 2nd wave. Hey it has water, the mornings have been cool I wanted the sun up before I got wet. But, when we got there they cancelled the 2nd wave.  We were informed it was because not enough people showed up. We were given free passes to next year's Splash Dash but grr.

However, the worst part wasn't the fact that we didn't run. It was that I allowed it to get into my head so where I didn't want to do anything physical last weekend. I was so lazy, just vegging about in the house it wasn't even funny. It has been a long time since I really done just 'nothing' the whole weekend. I didn't even have energy to go out and enjoy the UFC Fight.

This attitude almost continued on until Monday. But at least I made sure to get a run in. Nothing else but a run. Kind of a shitty run but it was a run. That is what happens to me when I don't run for a week and am stuck in a car traveling to and fro states.

I haven't felt this bad running since I began. But today is another day and I am going to hit it hard during lunch.

Oh and I can't wait to share with you all my lunch today. When I went shopping after work I got some peaches, cherries, grapes, oranges, and apples. In which I did some juicing last night for today and made myself a sourdough bread sandwich.
And tonight is going to be steak wrapped in turkey bacon with some potatoes. In my head it seems yummy...now lets just hope that it turns out right ^_^.

Anyways, I wanted to go on about the start of the month and the Weigh In.

7/23/2013

Last Weigh In - 200.4 lb

In wish I maintained from the week before that. But on to yesterday's Weigh In!

8/5/2013

First off I really need to re-do the paint on my toe nails. Sorry about that. BUT...

I am in the 100's. I am under 200. I haven't been this small in a while. Long while.

Motivational Thursday + A Recipe!

Hey NeverEver's!

Man did I sleep good last night! After I warmed up dinner (took me 10 minutes w/ Food Prep) and went for a walk. Well after that I basically passed out. Earliest I have ever been to bed, at least in a while, 9pm.

I do have to say it felt good. Didn't really workout last night...just slept. And you know what? I don't feel bad about it. Apparently my body needed rest and it...well it let me know. But that doesn't mean I didn't want to workout today.

And it mostly worked out. No treadmill at work. Went to lunch late because of some extra little things that came up (yay...) and by the time I got down there both treadmills where taken (grrr). So I just had some of my leftover salad and got lost in a good book. Which is why there are no pictures (oops) I really got sucked in!

But before we start with the...late...Motivational Thursday, let me show off my dinner and workout!

I remade my Chicken Enchiladas but I did make some changes. Here is the recipe!
  • Chicken Breast cooked in water and then shredded.
  • Saute 1/2 an onion and 1 garlic
  • Chili Verde (I used Archer Farm's from Target)
  • Once the onion & garlic has been sauteed place the chicken and 1/2 of the chili verde in the pot and allow it to warm up.
  • While chicken is being sauced up (yup my word) the other half of the Chili Verde spread it on the wheat tortillas.
  • Heat up oven to 350*
  • Get the chicken off the stove and scoop 1 spoon full on to the wheat tortilla. Add light American cheese and 1 spoonful of quinoa. Wrap up the tortilla and place it into an oven safe pan.
  • Do the above step over until you have enough enchiladas to make you and yours happy.
  • Rub the last of the Chili Verde on the top of the enchiladas while sprinkling some of the shredded cheese.
  • Place into the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Take out of oven and top with some light sour cream and cilantro.
  • Serve to your family and bask in the compliments ^_~

But after that yummy dinner it was time to relax and then...it was time to sweat it out with Shaun T and Hip Hop Ab's!

It was Day 11 of Hip hop Ab's and it was a sweaty one. Did Total Body Burn with my weights on the whole time! Although it was a sweat fest I didn't have to stop once. I was able to power through the whole 40+ minute thing!

I also found out that sweat stings when it gets into your eyes! Seriously that stuff hurts and makes you cry...Oy. My muscles are feeling it but I am looking forward to tomorrow! Going to get Day 12 done Woot Woot!

Now it is time to head to some Motivational Thursday (make sure I get to Day 12)

I really think that people need to remember this. A bad day doesn't mean a bad week.

Time and commitment!

Especially those non scale victories

Yes this is true!

I really like this quote

You can be an inspiration to yourself!

Okay NeverEver's, it is time for me to call it a night! I will see you all tomorrow for my breakfast, lunch run and evening workout ^_~. Have a great Friday!!
